The Best Start Yet!!!

In August 2014 for Elementary at Legacy Christian Academy Accelerated Math has paid off.

Based on Standardized STAR test scores, the average math grade level for Legacy students finishing…

1st grade is at the 2.61 grade level.

2nd grade is at the 3.59 grade level.

3rd grade is at the 5.08 grade level.

4th grade is at the 5.88 grade level.

These results are due in part to:

Team teaching of math by the grade level teachers

Individual based Accelerated Math Program that can be used at home

Parent partnership in the education of their children

All teachers for August 2014 have been hired.

Every grade will have two classes K4 – 5th.

An Elementary Math Coordinator has been named, Kim Dennis.

A half time Library Assistant has been added to encourage reading.

English in a Flash computer program has been added to increase student vocabulary.

Small and safe class sizes are expected to match 2013-14 at an average of 11 students per teacher.

The Elementary is fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS)
