 Legacy Lends a Helping Hand 

On the morning of Saturday, April 5, Texans from all over joined together for the Texas Trash-Off in order to keep Texas beautiful. Legacy students took charge of their own section of highway, which stretches for two miles on Highway 105. About 25 students showed up, in grades ranging from seventh to twelfth, and all pitched in to complete the service project.

When asked what were some of the benefits from participating in the trash pick-up Elsa Beckman, a junior at LCA, replied,  “People see Legacy Christian Academy picking up trash and serving the community.”  Although the Texas Trash-Off is an annual event, Legacy Student Council, NHS, and anyone else interested in lending a helping hand hold several trash pick-ups throughout the year. Service hours are offered to those who participate if they wish to claim them.
