Note: After the Application Deadline, applications are reviewed in grades where space is available.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTION CHECKLIST

The applicant is responsible for ensuring that all steps in the application process are completed. Please keep the following checklist to assist you in keeping track of the items which may need your attention during the application process.

Application/Student Questionnaire:    The application and student questionnaire must be completed, signed and returned to the school along with a non-refundable fee of $50. The receipt of the completed application, questionnaire and fee initiates the formal application process. The Application Deadline is February 29 for grades 7-12.

Interview and Visit:    A personal interview and "shadow day" is required for each applicant. Personal interviews are arranged after a student's application is completed and on file. For the "shadow day" visit, each applicant is matched with a Legacy Christian Academy student in their current grade. They attend class and lunch with their campus host.

Transcript/ Student Records:    Enclosed is a "Transcript Release Authorization" form requesting the applicant's transcript. Please give the form to the principal/guidance counselor at the student's present school, with instructions to mail the transcript to the Legacy’s Admissions Office. (Please provide a stamped, addressed envelope for this purpose.) The transcript must include current courses, recent grades, and any standardized aptitude and/or achievement test scores. A Principal/ Counselor Evaluation is included on this form.

Evaluation Forms:    The Admissions Office has provided you with three confidential evaluation forms for distribution to the following individuals: English Teacher, Math Teacher, and Extra-Curricular (Coach, Instructor, Leader). Please request that the individuals return the completed references directly to the Admissions Office as soon as possible. (Please provide a stamped, addressed envelope for this purpose.)

Admission Test:    Students applying for admission into grades 7-12 are required to complete the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE). Group ISEE testing dates at Legacy are scheduled for January 26, 2008 and April 5, 2008. Students wishing to take the ISEE in a group setting must register online three weeks in advance of the test date. The group testing fee is $78. Individual testing is $140.
