Family: I have been married to Roger, an obstetrician/gynecologist for 20 years. We have two boys, Drake (15) a sophomore at Legacy Christian Academy and Grant (11) a fifth grader at All Saints Episcopal School.

Occupation: Business owner: Weddings by Design – Wedding Consultant and a Sales Associate for the Worth Collection, women’s designer-inspired clothing. Assist as Office Manager at Roger A. Smith, M.D., P.A.

Hobbies: No doubt shopping is my most favorite hobby! Also enjoy reading, traveling, spending time with friends and family.

Interesting Fact: Most all of my 18 years in Beaumont have been spent volunteering in the community, schools or at church. I have been honored to receive the Outstanding Community Impact Award from both the Junior League of Beaumont and the Symphony League of Beaumont. These opportunities have given me the chance to meet many wonderful people in this town.

I am originally from Atlanta, Georgia. My family moved to Shreveport, Louisiana before settling in Houston, Texas. They gave me a wonderful Christian foundation and encouraged my faith in God. I have enjoyed many sports through the years—softball, cheerleading, golf, tennis and weightlifting.

Roger being a physician many think I am a Nurse, no way! I admire them though. We both met through the Singles group in our church. Pick the mate who will keep you focused on what is important in this life – serving God!!
