Legacy Christian Academy Welcomes Dr. D’Ann Vonderau as Head of School Dr. D’Ann Vonderau, an educator with extraordinary experience as a teacher, administrator, and superintendent, is the new Head of School at Legacy Christian Academy in Beaumont, the school’s Board of Directors announced today.
Dr. Vonderau, who holds eight professional certifications, has served in school districts throughout Southeast Texas. Most recently, she was Superintendent of High Island Independent School District. She has held positions at seven school districts, including superintendent, assistant superintendent for business and finance, high school principal, elementary school principal, curriculum coordinator, and professional educator.
Legacy Christian Academy Board President R. Lyn Stevens said, “Dr. Vonderau has joined our school at an exciting time. We welcome her and her family to Beaumont and are pleased to have her extensive expertise, which includes community involvement, business partnerships, school improvement, curriculum, college readiness, human resources, budget development, and facilities planning.”
Dr. Vonderau said, “I appreciate this opportunity to help Legacy Christian Academy build on its momentum – on campus and in the community. I look forward to helping our students become trained spiritually, academically, physically, and artistically to reach their God-given destinies.”
Dr. Vonderau holds the following degrees: Doctor of Education from Baylor University, Master of Education and Bachelor of Science from the University of Houston-Victoria.
