Every year our high school students are offered the opportunity to serve on mission trips throughout the world and our nation. The students raise money themselves and as a group, through various fundraisers, to pay for the personal expenses of the trip and other service projects they will undertake while serving others.

It is our belief at Legacy Christian Academy that our students should be given the opportunity to fulfill the Great Commission through various avenues including taking the Gospel to the furthest most parts of the world.

All School Missions

October – We Will Serve  We are going to parallel our mission with the Junior High Student Council. We will be making Blessing Bags during chapel on October 16th. Our students will bring home a blessing bag to hand out, with their parents help, to a homeless person.  We will also be making Grandparents day cards to give to our grandparents at our Grandparents day program on October 23rd.  National Honor Society will be collecting Operation Christmas Child Boxes this month. If your family would like to participate in this mission, please pick up a box from the elementary office and return it filled with the money for shipping to Debbie Jean at the High School.

Tent America Event, October 17th-19th

The Middle School Student Council will be collecting items from each grade level to fill drawstring bags for homeless people. These bags will be given away to homeless people during the Tent America Event, October 17th-19th. This event will take place in Beaumont at a tent that will be set up at Northwood Christian Church. Please see list of items for each grade here. We are asking that all items be delivered to bible teachers by October 11th.

November – We Will Appreciate  We will be making cards for veterans. We will hand out these cards during our Veterans Day chapel on Nov. 16th.  We will also be collecting canned fruit to send to Some Other Place with National Honor Society.

December – We Will Glorify  We will be making cards to take to Nursing Homes when we go caroling that month.

January – We will Celebrate  We are going to celebrate our Pastors, Worship Leaders, Youth leaders and Children’s leaders at area churches.  Each Student will make a card and write a note of thanks/appreciation in the card. Mr. Williams and Mrs. Morgan will then mail these cards to local clergy.  If a student has a specific pastor they want to send to, they will have the opportunity to make a second card to hand deliver to their pastor of choice.

February – We will Love  We are going to Love on our Heroes! – Police department, Fire department, Sheriff Department, and Military.  We are going to make cards and collect “goodies” to make baskets to take to our local departments to Love on them. Military cards will be mailed to service men/women that students bring in an address for.

March – We will Lead  Our first ever “Adopt a leader” program will kick off this year. We are going to have each grade level adopt a city/county leader. During the month of March we will pray for them, and make them cards of encouragement. We will invite them to chapel at the end of the month where we will pray for them and present them with a gift bag, to thank them for all they do for our area!

April – We will Persevere  We will be making cards for our seniors, our Athletes, and our teachers to encourage them and build them up!
