1. Are you accredited?
Yes, our entire school, grades PK-4 through 12th grade, is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS)/AdvancED.
2. Can my student enroll anytime?
Students may enroll during most times of the year. The exceptions would be: near the end of each semester.
3. When does enrollment begin for the new school year?
Enrollment begins March 1. The new application and re-enrollment are completed online.
4. How long does the enrollment process take?
The enrollment process begins after we receive the completed application and registration fee. At that time, we will request records from the previous school and schedule admissions testing for the student. Normally, these steps are completed in two weeks or less.
5. What grade can my student begin playing sports for the school?
Legacy Christian Academy is a member of TAPPS (Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools). Our middle school also plays in a league with these same schools. Generally, our 5th graders are allowed to participate in most sports with our 6th-8th graders. High school students must be a full-time day student seeking an LCA diploma to participate in our sports program.
Please refer to our Athletics Tab on our Home page for more details.
6. If my student transfers to another school will they accept the credits earned at Legacy?
Every school has the right to deny or accept credits, but since we are a nationally accredited school, we have never had a school refuse to accept our credits.
7. Will your program prepare my student for college?
Yes. Legacy’s structure greatly prepares students for today’s college course structure. Legacy students receive extensive experience with the same type of procedures used in many college courses. Our college preparatory course of study is designed to prepare students for entrance into all universities and colleges.
