Shout out to Shane Berryhill from Legacy Christian Academy! The True Amateur Summer Classic Bowling Tournament held at The Orleans in Las Vegas was an international event, with over 1,100 bowlers from all around the globe. Shane, a 13-year-old from Beaumont, Texas, competed in the 189 and under division. Outshining his competition, Shane was the only youth bowler to reach the finals. He secured a remarkable second place out of 450 competitors in his division, earning an impressive scholarship amount of over $1,500! Other Bowling Achievements: Youth Leaders 6th Ed Calcote Tournament - Shane seized the first-place title in the U15 category, earning a spot in the highly anticipated 2023 Junior Gold Championship! Youth City Tournament - Shane's skill and dedication led his team to a well-deserved first-place victory! Outside of School: In addition to his exceptional talents in bowling, Shane is involved in a multitude of other activities: He is the Youth Director/Ambassador for SETX USBC. Shane was chosen to be a member of the prestigious Storm Evolution Team. He also excels in select baseball as a member of the Gladiators -14u Newcomb team. As a Junior Black Belt and Assistant Instructor at Texas Karate Academy, Shane showcases his martial arts expertise. He is an active member of the St. Jude Catholic Youth Group. At LCA: Additionally, Shane engages in various school sports, including football, basketball, and plans to participate in baseball and track.
